District recognizes National School Choice Week
It’s National School Choice Week! Hillsborough County Public Schools has more than 55,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade who take advantage of School Choice options in the district. Families can choose from an array of options: Career & Technical Education programs, charter schools, home education, magnet schools, traditional schools, and virtual school to meet their children’s needs.
As we celebrate National School Choice Week, we encourage families to explore the options Hillsborough County Public Schools offers. If your child is entering Kindergarten in the fall, visit our Kindergarten Round Ups being held this week and during the Spring. Families who are interested in applying for a School Choice or magnet elementary school can apply directly online by January 31st. If you are interested in applying for a magnet program at the middle or high school level the next application period opens at noon on April 5. Families whose students are entering high school have the opportunity to take courses that can earn the student industry certification or college credit. The options we offer in Hillsborough County Public Schools’ has the student in mind and prepares them for life!
